Below that I'd put scouring job boards to apply for jobs on the same day that they're listed. Working with staffing agencies is great too because they'll have a lot of positions that they'll send your resume to before they're even posted on a job board.
A lot of people say that going into a place you want to work at and asking if they're hiring is valuable, but that's dated advice as everyone just gets annoyed and points at their website these days.
When is the last time you've tried to get a job as an individual?

1. I did talk about real world networking in previous posts. It just got glossed over cause I started talking about FB earlier today.
2. I agree about staffing agencies to some extent. Every city has headhunters and specialized recruiters too. They tend to be smaller than the big agencies, but they follow a similar process.
3. About 2 years ago. I got an opportunity out of the blue with Thrive through a community group on FB. The head of HR in Grapevine had posted to the community about needing someone who met certain criteria (and who loved digital media), and I got interviewed the next day after hitting them up on Messenger after responding to the post. Ended up being a great springboard to what I do now.

Hahahahaha. I literally gave examples of private groups where good stuff is going on in FB and your just like "its all bots and spammers bro, don't even bother". I guess you really showed me.

I have family who says the same **** you do and yeah that's a trigger for me too but I know what's up with their glib assertions that sound totally reasonable but are backed by ego and superiority. You got that same **** about you that's more about being seen as someone worthy of giving advice than someone actually giving advice.

You are way too hard on yourself. That's why I don't get your attitude toward me at all. I showed you a road sign with some good information on it. If you don't want to go this way or that way, then just go whatever way you want. You've already shown me that you won't really take advice from anyone because your just gonna project and then reject it anyway.
