I own a business too

Again. He doesn't know. And if he did you'd call him delusional for having hope anyway. Because obviously there's nothing about the way you approach things that isn't inevitable.

This is all part of a defense mechanism as I have stated before.

Bro have a bump and chill out.

And as I've pointed out on numerous other occasions, if you actually spend a little time on Facebook and connect with, I dunno, the hundreds upon hundreds of free job-seeking groups or entrepreneurial groups or whatever niche your looking for, you'll have a way better chance at connecting with someone who is actually hiring rather than submitting resumes to some office drone who doesn't even check their inbox.

Elph laughed at the suggestion to network if you want a better job, but it really is the best way to go. People are far more likely to hire you if they like you, know you and trust you to some extent before they even see a resume. The guy who bothers to show up when nobody else tried is the one who is going to get that salary and benefits and 3 weeks of vacation every year and profit sharing.

Lol
Three weeks.

I'll drop it if you want.

Not as fun being the patient is it?

The Batlord 09-07-2019 02:50 PM

You literally do that **** all the time and you're mad I turn it back on you? Maybe don't act holier than thou if you're living in a halfway house.

Have you actually had success from it though?

The spam is still present in closed groups especially since FB stopped providing support to groups last year. Maybe this was valuable advice 5 years ago, but it doesn't appear to be very relevant now.

On average I'm doing 30K in new website business every month like clockwork through FB entirely through closed group prospecting, so I spend a lot of time in them. And the small guys have a budget somewhere in the $599 to $1k range for a site experience, so trust is earned with them and their needs aren't that complex. LinkedIn has proven better for connecting with decision makers at the bigger companies (and they take longer to make decisions), but I connect with business owners constantly on FB.

I don't know what you mean by "spam" in regards to Closed groups though. You can find spam in any kind of group, especially Public ones. The groups I spend my time in don't have those kinds of issues. If your in some Public group that anyone can just post whatever they want, then yeah. That's why you join Groups where the rules are clear and the purpose is aligned in some way with the industry your looking to get into.

You finding clients as an existing business is not in any way comparable to an individual finding a new job.

Fake/garbage job leads and hacked accounts, mostly.

You're correct, I don't, although I'm not sure why my post just now warranted that response. The point is that I've never said or implied this.
