red flag fire warning in effect today through thursday. mass power outages throughout the bay area, including nearly all of my county, go into effect at midnight. it's about a week shy of the 2 year anniversary of The Fires. focusing my energy into doomsday prepping -- is spraying down my house and yard with a hose a useful preventative measure or do i look like a lunatic? i feel like a lunatic. this whole thing really ruined fire for me.

Well last time I measured the heat during a controlled burn I think it was around 1000F, so Im gonna vote for: you cray.

When it comes to hurricanes I either evacuate or do nothing. I don’t **** with shuttering windows or whatever. I used to go to great pains to try to waterproof my record collection in case of water damage/flooding but now I’m just like if I get got I got got.
