Duplicates of Alexis Weissenberg's performances of Debussy on DG.
The EMI label titles are all guaranteed winners. I trust DG, but am curious about the Orpheus Trio on Vanguard Everyman Classics and Satie/Rogé on Decca London.
A friend who is a music educator and scholar assures me the whole haul feature fine interpreters of these composers. (And hell, for $7 I can't go wrong.)
Digitally I already have the Claude Debussy - DG Debussy Edition (18CD), the Claude Debussy Maurice Ravel Orchestral Works (Jean Martinon 8CD), and the Claude Debussy - The Complete Works For Piano (4CD) Walter Gieseking EMI Classics editions.
Digitally for Satie I have Erik Satie - L'Oeuvre Pour Piano (Aldo Ciccolini) 5CD Complete Works for Piano [EMI Classics] and the less-celebrated Piano Works (Daniel Varsano & Philippe Entremont).
I've bookmarked two very specific Complete Works sets for Satie and Debussy on vinyl, but they're going to have to be imported from Japan and the Netherlands so I'm holding off.
