I don’t give a **** what you think about blue jeans. The point is I should be able wear whatever I want whenever I want wherever I want and anyone who disagrees should be killed.

I'm required to take a lunch break, but it's unpaid, I can't leave the store, and if there's an issue I have to resolve it anyway

meaning basically everyday they are stealing from me

if I stole $5 a day from them, guys in blue could come and pick me up

That’s a way of whittling your actual pay closer to minimum wage. If you were exactly at minimum wage and they did that you could hire an employment lawyer.

What label are those yellow ones?

Duplicates of Alexis Weissenberg's performances of Debussy on DG.

The EMI label titles are all guaranteed winners. I trust DG, but am curious about the Orpheus Trio on Vanguard Everyman Classics and Satie/Rogé on Decca London.

A friend who is a music educator and scholar assures me the whole haul feature fine interpreters of these composers. (And hell, for $7 I can't go wrong.)

Digitally I already have the Claude Debussy - DG Debussy Edition (18CD), the Claude Debussy Maurice Ravel Orchestral Works (Jean Martinon 8CD), and the Claude Debussy - The Complete Works For Piano (4CD) Walter Gieseking EMI Classics editions.

Digitally for Satie I have Erik Satie - L'Oeuvre Pour Piano (Aldo Ciccolini) 5CD Complete Works for Piano [EMI Classics] and the less-celebrated Piano Works (Daniel Varsano & Philippe Entremont).

I've bookmarked two very specific Complete Works sets for Satie and Debussy on vinyl, but they're going to have to be imported from Japan and the Netherlands so I'm holding off.

I bought that one and loaned one out to a teacher I figured I could 100% trust and the **** never returned it. Ruins the ****ing set.

We’ve talked about it before but Spotify sucks the dong on classical. It takes so damn long to find the top shelf recordings IF they even have it and it’s flooded with mediocrity.

You stepped into a gold mine and it goes to show how little concern the public has about classical music.

They exist. I just try to have a really good work ethic on top of that. No reason to go into work to feel like **** every day. I try to make it fun. And it is. And thanks! Things have certainly been going well on the job front.

The kind of guy who'd sincerely thank his master for only whipping him five times instead of ten.

If I worked in a kitchen without air conditioning I'd quit so you're clearly a better slave than me as well.
