Isn't that pretty standard stuff around here though?
This site seems quite laid back about that sort of thing.

We certainly have out dip****s but it went more like:

Merit: *posts homophobic content*
Mod: Hey, I've told you not to post homophobic content before. Don't do it again.
Merit: You're just mad because you're a cross dressing jew. *posts more homophobic content*
Mod team: well **** this guy. *six month ban*. We'll see if he picks up on the idea that this isn't cool here.
Merit (by proxy of another member): *posts a tirade about how the mod team is a bunch of gay Jews who hate FREEDOM and demands that his ban is immediately overturned*
Mod team: well he's clearly not going to learn. *escalates ban to permanent*

If you feel like you might be banned for continuing to post antisemitic and homophobic content after about a decade of being warned not to because you're prejudiced against the mod team, then feel free to send us any potentially questionable posts before you post it and we'll be happy to give you any needed guidance.

This is also why banned members can't participate by proxy btw. Y'all dumbasses just make things worse for yourself.

^ ...and don't forget the great typeface scandal, when he insisted on putting News Headlines In Bold. For some reason that caused a bitter dispute that ran for days... good times.

The other day they asked me to work three extra hours which I would have done if I wouldn't be getting off at 7pm and and going back in at 6am. Like, if I'm going to have to go home and go straight to bed or only stay up for an hour or two it'll be like I never left when I go back and then that's two basically entire days of my life stolen from me that will require about five times as much music, video games, and drinking to get back.

I used to work a shift where it was 3 12 hour days. Unloading trucks nonetheless.

The 3 days were tough but it's manageable. Didn't help that I would spend the entire 4 days off getting blitzed though.

The Batlord 08-11-2019 09:29 PM

Yeah it's manageable but to feel like a human being afterward you have to actually do things that make you reconnect with yourself as a human being.

That was basically the way it went

Last job I had before I was homeless was sweet. 58 hours a week (5 10 hour days and 1 8 hour) making 16.29 an hour and the work was easy. Just assembling science lab **** in the A/C

I just used the extra money to go harder

One second is too much.

The more you give the more it destroys you.

The less you give the more it destroys you.

The rich lose their humanity.

The poor lose their sanity.

Totes. Give it more and they own more of you. Give it less and you admit that civilization is worth less. There's no way out but I guess to increase the amount of mental space you reclaim for yourself.
