Walking home today I saw a young girl lying on the road with a bloodied head, blood on the road, a woman, who I presume was her mother, holding her and looking terrified, and crowds of people standing around watching. I think she'd been hit by a car. :(

It is amazing how in ****ty situations 99% of people will not even try to help but just stand around and gawk. Pathetic really. And if someone is already helping, to just sit and stare is pretty disrespectful if you ask me.

Mr. Charlie 10-22-2013 12:40 PM

Agreed.

It's by-stander syndrome, it happens to the best of us and you never know if you will do it until you are faced with the situation in person. You can say you won't now but if you were actually in the situation things would most likely be different.

Idk man I have been presented with situations like he described three times that I can think of right now and every time I tried to help. 2 of those times I was not needed and left but once I was able to call the police/ambulance.

butthead aka 216 10-22-2013 01:13 PM

they teach ya in cpr classes to take charge and point at specific ppl and give orders. like point at a specific person and say 'you, call 911' cause ppl gt caught gawking and not acting

Two hours later, I went to schedule a meeting with this guy I needed to talk to but he ended up showing up and we had a brief meeting. I'm surprised he couldn't tell that I was tipsy.

Happy Birthday hun, I hope you got some presents?

Today I woke up at 6, turned on my computer and then decided to go the middle of the city to pick up repeats. Then I did some shopping, have way too much junk food but it makes me happy (as I have a headache and a really sore scalp). I have taken my sleeping drugs so I can sleep (fuck) the pain away. And by the way, chicken curry pasta is soooo delicious.

My presents to myself were tickets to Comic Con which I did last weekend, buying a ps4 next month and my Yeezus Tour tickets.

How much did you drop for the tickets?

Dulce 10-22-2013 10:16 PM

All of my days gone by so fast and quick. I rarely remember each and every little giving moment to take a breath and enjoy my time here. Life is what I make it out to be a future.

ThePhanastasio 10-23-2013 12:45 AM

Getting called out to face my fears of haunted places that I have had experience enough with to vow never to visit again.

I also found I ha e not double, but triple eyelashes; this is a mutation that ****s with the whole works

Generally heart problems.

And I already have weird, recessive amber eyes. The hell is wrong with my gene pool? It mixes Greek, Welsh, and Irish heavily, with no inbreeding.

I understand its three top bill acts. Is that for one ticket or two? I'm not much of a Lamar fan honestly. I'd much rather see Tribe on their own, but I understand your a fan of Kanye also, so its understandable. It just seems steep for what may turn into 45 minute sets. When I saw Tribe it was double billing with De La Soul and they both played strong hour and a half sets and the tix were 45 a piece.

Well how many people were there? The bystander starts to take effect when there are around ten people (I think). Before then even a terminal gawker can take initiative.

Sure it will be a spectacle with light shows and explosions and such, hope it lives up to the hype at that price point. All three acts get rave reviews so i'm sure it will get the crowd at MSG moving.

When you look at the new score board you'll see a little piece of me in it. I worked on some of the drawings for the structural enhancements for the old one back in the late 90's. The new one utilizes these.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Hope you have a blast DJ.

Ahh that's pretty sweet. The thought will most definitely pop into my head that hey I know someone that worked on that board.

No, I didn't mention the date. It's Nov. 23rd. The weekend before Thanksgiving.

Oh definitely! I'm not sure who I'd be though. Someone who's known for being pale.

Just cosplay at the Armageddon Expo, Van.

You could do Harley Quinn. People usually put on some white markup when doing her but you wouldn't need to. well maybe you might still need to but still. She's pretty pale.

In reality though you could be whoever you wanted. It doesn't matter much.

Had one of the best jam sessions of my life last night, coincidentally paired with the purchase of a new dabber and 2 grams of wax. My group found an entirely new direction to develop, which is quite exciting for me.
