The vast majority of Americans are never going to vote for a progressive if they're going to saddle their economic positions with bull**** that's impossible to implement in any meaningful way (like reparations). If your gonna spend a trillion dollars on anything and strong-arm the corporate Dems and the GOP into passing something big, either give all Americans free healthcare, college, or an extra grand or two monthly. But your only gonna be able to force one of those things through over a four year period. But none of that matters if you can't win.
Yang gets it. In order to win (or at least have a shot at winning), you have to at least make an effort to push beyond traditional identity politics in some way along with having a solid economic message, along with having a clear idea how to make those things happen. That means giving the independents and the libertarian / more centrist oriented people who voted from Trump in 2016 a reason not to vote for him again. And while Bernie has good ideas and consistency, Yang's website better maps out how those policies might actually come to fruition and how they'd be paid for without taxing the living **** out of the middle class.
Trump only won because Hillary Clinton was incompetent to a degree we don't see that often at national level politics. She made McCain and Al Gore look like geniuses in comparison.
If Harris, Warren or Sanders gets the nomination, you can kiss the Democratic Party goodbye.
