I thought that and The Commitments were both pretty tight reads. They actually managed to pull off a decent flick for The Commitments.

I'd watch a movie about George Clanton or some of the vaporwave guys.

I think I took some heat for saying Clear Spot was up there way back.

I stand by that. Not necessarily better than TMR but not a ridiculous thing to say either.

I like Clear Spot a lot too, just not as much as his weirder stuff. I even like the Safe As Milk era better than the funky/poppier stuff he was doing on Clear Spot and Spotlight Kid.

Even Unconditionally Guaranteed and Bluejeans and Moonbeams have their appeal. They're not bad albums, they're bad Beefheart albums because of the bar he set for himself. Clear Spot it's like a 7 on the Beefometer even though in the grand scheme of things it's a 5/5.

High Fidelity was great but About a Boy was the one that got me. Just too damn close to home on too many things.

Same author as High Fidelity which is why I mentioned it. The dude knows how to make an entire world out of one narcissist's mental diarrhea.

You know other people have religious beliefs whatevs that's nice and all but when I'm at work and my co-worker is like "Your total comes to... oh do you want to add something cause your total is $6.66?!" my patience goes out the window and I'm perfectly happy to tell them that their beliefs are stupid. ****ing superstitious peasants who might as well be hanging garlic out of their windows to repel vampires and making my job harder at the same time get as much respect and tolerance as Bigfoot hunters. And no this is not the first time.
