It’s not all that

It’s just rehashing Radiohead stuff

There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s his to rehash but you know the critics piss me off sometimes

It was only in the past few years that I started to understand the Radiohead appeal. Still like them now so I'm giving this a listen now and I like it. Like you said it doesnt push any boundaries but it's not bad.

What’s your favorite Radiohead record?

A Moon Shaped Pool. I know. Not a popular choice.

I like it, too. Here’s a review I posted on Lamp Lighter

A Moon Shaped Pool
Studio album by Radiohead

Only the most curmudgeonly music fan could dislike Radiohead. They’re one of the most consistently high quality bands of all time. Pool is their third best offering: behind only Kid A and The King of Limbs. Reminds me of Beck’s Sea Change obscured. Delightfully blurred in a way that Radiohead has cornered. If you think you don’t like this open your heart and try again. It’s beautiful.

Ive been thinking about how to deal with artists who make several releases in a single year. In the past if an artist is overly prolific I would chose one record, often almost arbitrarily, and leave it at that. Now I’m thinking of a new approach where I’ll take all of the artist’s work collectively for a given year and just judge as a singular work of art. I know it’s not ideal but there’s limited mental space for so much compartmentalization. What do you think of me looking at your entire 2019 output as a single work of art?

Key 06-29-2019 11:21 AM

I'm all for it! I'd be interested to see what you think them? I've listened to them collectively from oldest to newest before and its quite interesting for me personally so itd be interesting to see a different perspective. I probably dont have anything new coming for a while so what's there is there for a pretty good while. Unless i get super inspired which has happened.

Pretty sure Pablo Honey is the only good Radiohead album. Its like catchin' some gnarly grunge-flavored waves.
