found a job in the quad cities that would fit my degree and where i could continue with my military years since its still government. itd be for the army on the arsenal, where my grandfather is buried also. they have a machinist apprentice job starting at $16-25 based on experience. which ill only have experience from school but its CNC 1,2,3. you learn a lot in 3 courses. i have my first block to square tonight that gets graded.. i have to be within a .003 tolerance with my dimensions
i guess im just finally shocked to see a government job as a machinist, i knew the contracts were out there i just needed to search in different locations on indeed.com. here in Connecticut, they just have contract with the government, looks like in rock island they have actually government employee jobs.. yuge difference.
TLDR:
i want to join the aerospace union i once was in as a quality auditor, so i can travel and work in two locations.
