I love not working. Yesterday was so peaceful. I read a lot. Real slow. The bed is so soft. I can see trees out my window. The AC works. I know it can’t last but days of unemployment are so much more leisurely than vacation days or days off. With a day off you’re exhausted from your last workday and when that wears off you’re depressed because of work tomorrow. Even two months from homelessness without a new job today I’m thankful for soft blankets, memory foam, and working AC. Going outside into the heat and humidity is like standing in an ant hill. If I could never leave this room again and somehow pay my bills that would be fine with me. My goal for today is to be lazy af.

I was thinking when I hit a bit more than 2 months rent saved Ill quit so I can have the energy to get a different job

Having a job that’s too exhausting and time consuming to find another traps people for years and even for their whole lives. I know it’s scary but when your zoo keeper expects you to clean elephant anuses with your tongue it’s time to muster up a little courage so you don’t have use so much Listerine.

^ That's nice. It sounds like you are in a well-deserved, very Zen mood, focusing on the small pleasures of the moment. Hope that feeling stays a while.
What's the music to enhance that feeling? John Fahey's America of course, though I can only speak of the four-song original album as I haven't heard the 1998 re-issue double.

Work Fridays suck until you’re actually off. When co-workers say thank god it’s Friday I always thought not until I’m out of this bitch.

an older guy at school couldn't save a file to thumbdrive or just didnt know how. so i taught him, he thanked me later on in class by stealing my broom for clean up. tried a second time but i checked the dude. he wasn't conscious of his surroundings and who he was grabbing a broom from  the first try i just gave him the broom because w/e but after a second try to steal another broom from me, i said something. hopefully he isnt in any of my classes in the future. so the thanks i got for helping him learn to save a file to a flashdrive was him stealing my broom during clean up, twice. ...https://boxden.com/smilies/ZGTXgWN.png

Isn’t sweeping up for you a good thing?

Plankton 06-03-2019 10:43 AM

I'd have let him have it.

Seriously.

I'd be like "Here dude, keep it".

thats the way i was on the first broom, i thought he had his own mission. but putting his first broom he got from me down, then trying to grab my new broom lol i got pissed off ... https://boxden.com/images/icons/nHXEgl8-compressor.png

more pissed off that he did the stuff because he really is a nice guy. ive had other classes with him, hes already in a better position than me though because hes already a CNC machinist, his work just sent him to school there to get certified for his company. im over here trying to soak in every drop of information because im NOT a machinist and im trying to be. dont need others pissing me off while im there learning https://boxden.com/smilies/ra2NRDo.png

Gotta give the guy a break though, since old people do weird ****. Like just today I've decided that from now on I'm going to silently change the word "Post" to "Post Malone" in my head. This is from years of drug and alcohol abuse and recent exposure to this meme:
