If it’s a big college at all they probably have bad ass intramural stuff.

Get ready to be humbled though. If you play co-ed females will be juking your ass.

Disc Golf is great for low impact exercise, if you're not looking to get much cardio. Unless you're playing in a tournament and left your favorite disc on a previous hole and have to run and get it before your next turn to tee-off.

30 seconds, mother****er.

Anyway, I’m back from my “camping” trip. I really enjoyed it even though I didn’t do what I had planned. I swam in the sea. I cooked on a grill. I watched the sunrise and took selfies with my dog. I didn’t hike around much at all though.

I'm curious about those selfies

Sounds great btw

I can understand. If I'm tired at work but someone else who's been working just as many hours isn't bitching I feel like I wanna keep up for the... "workplace camaraderie" or some ****. Showing that you can suffer along with everyone else and pull your own weight can be powerful social pressure. It's bull**** but it is what it is.

Plenty of free public courses, the only thing you need is one disc to start, and if you're socially anxious you can just take a walk in the woods by yourself while playing badass Frisbee. Also no one cares if you smoke weed so long as you aren't openly doing it near a road where anyone driving by can see you.

I just gave a coworker who wants to start playing regularly a starter set from some discs I wasn't using. A Star Aviar, broke-in Buzzz, Glow Meteor, and a brand-new-still-had-the-sticker-on-it Star Valk. In my experience that's a perfect set for someone just starting out. I told him to just use the mids until he gets comfortable with more control, then start ****ing up again with the Valk until he finally gets decent form down. That's how to build up to it and the right discs for it. Putter-only rounds are highly recommended too, but only after you shed the casual round mindset and strive for more power/control and the desire to throw past the horizon.

Never seen a Meteor or a Valk but if someone gave me a Buzzz I'd probably give them a slob. Same for anyone who gave me a Star anything tbh. Star discs are always my favs. The plastic is so nice to hold and they feel amazing slipping out of the hand like they're covered in butter. The one lost disc I will always mourn is my Star Destroyer (and not just for nerdy reasons).
