Yeah. No consolation will mean anything until you meet that fabled person who thinks you're fun and funny and someone who'd be nice to kick it with. Why doesn't that person ever exist ever in any circumstance? I just happened upon being myself so how the **** have I been so unlucky on being someone who nobody else lucked upon being compatible with.

TBH I do have a friend who I connect with but... it's just not something that feels like that connection I need or something. I don't know. Have I not found the right friend or is there no right friend and I'm just destined for emptiness? It can't be that, right? My best friend is a good guy but it's just not enough. I can't live like this but is that just my fate to never be able to live in any state no matter what it is?

I think many of us have that problem to some degree. Such friends definitely exist somewhere for you, and honestly I'm wondering why you haven't met some already. I mean, you're fun as hell and a pretty chill person too. And you're not that weird, or rather, weird in such an off-putting way. Anteater's idea is pretty good and in the meantime there are plenty of people here who appreciate your weirdness, although I know that that's very different from real life connection.

Spent from 3AM - 8:30AM working on my media library reference databases. I refine them every few nights when I can't sleep.

Spent some time researching the legality of sharing personal media servers publically, and while there are sharing groups, (Plex sharing subreddits for one example), it wouldn't be legal and bandwidth limitations would make it a practical impossibility at present.

Still debating whether or not publishing the databases, themselves publically would have any negative ramifications. They're merely massive archives of organized and deep-searchable content lists with no active links to media and could serve a valuable educational purpose so I hope I can publish one day.

I'm going to keep at it.
