The course I went to was a bit littered but this is New Jersey and we're all pretty disgusting so I wasn't surprised. We picked up what we could.

Well I liked it a lot. I wanna go back. It's like going for a hike with mini-games.

That's basically how everyone reacts. It's a sport you don't even have to be into to love.

It helps that I enjoy regular golf as well even though Frownland is a poopy doo doo head about golfers.

Golfers can fall into a sand trap for all I care but it's still a chill, relaxing way to spend an afternoon. If I could pick up a set of clubs for cheap at a garage sale and there was a cheap (public even?) golf course near me I'd probably give regular golfing a shot so long as I could "accidentally" slice a ball into the woods and have no one ask me what that smell was when I came out ten minutes later.

I'd like to think it's possible to maintain reasonable courses without all that **** but if not then I'll betray my principles for a round every now and again.

We got plenty of water over here and the gold course means that acres of land are going to be maintained and preserved so a Costco doesn't go up in its place. I'm cool with that. So what if a few old white dudes hit a ball on it during the day. Most golfers are beautiful parks. Nothing wrong with that. Golf courses in California however are a bit trickier with the whole homeless tent cities and no water business.
