I think that's called a penis.

Tired now and hungry.
^ Nice touch from the old lady!
Yeah, a National Health waiting room is a really depressing place to be. Hope you and your family member are ok and can move on to happier circumstances soon.

Took me long enough to get one. Too bad it isn't long enough.

I think the worst thing about my day by far isn't that I'm stuck in a garbage job made for people to feel like garbage in, it's that the people made to be put in authority positions over me (managers) are too terrified of the corporate masters just over them (or who they perceive to be just over them) to even voice to themselves that they hate their position of being corporate lapdogs and so they play the part as happily as they can so everyone under them no matter how well treated has to view them as potential enemies.

Literally almost everything about my job would be better if they felt like they could take a deep breath and calm down. I mean there's vastly enough separatation between my immediate bosses and the ultimate bosses that this should be possible and everyone involved would feel less like killing themselves so... I don't even know.

**** manager. Then I'm the enemy who has to choose between employees and the company. I refuse to be that ****.

It's impossible to be management and not choose between your own job and someone else's livelihood, and that can not be justified.

same at my job but a little less pronounced maybe

my immediate supervisor takes it up the ass so hard and never refuses any order no matter how devastating physically or emotionally

he’s currently in the middle of 12 days straight 10-12 hour days he’s older than I am and he’s constantly moving heavy cases of fish and dairy products around in the walk-in

both his feet have collapsed and he’s constantly in agony- back feet knees

there’s ribbing in the kitchen, you know, but I’ve said some ****ing cruel jokes

I like the guy but other cooks under him especially the morning crew hate him

He gives everybody **** and people just take it 90% of the time

He’s a good dude but he’s so overworked that he gets frustrated and then lashes out

The sous chefs the managers they’re all so willing to drop dead on the job - I feel sorry for them, they’re so cowardly- I mean I’ve been fired from so many jobs- but they’re terrified of it

if you’re sick of your restaurant job here’s what you do: every time it’s absolutely mad crunch time and your absence ****s them up - go to the doctor and say you have bad diarrhea. They’ll have to fire you because you leave them in the lurch every time. You’ll be let go without cause because it’s illegal to work with food when you have the runs. Let go without cause then go straight to the unemployment office. You’ll get a check for doing absolutely nothing for a few months. And you think you can’t get another **** job? I’ve done it probably 20 times. I haven’t collected unemployment that many times but I’ve abandoned that many jobs. I mean, I get it if you want to move up but if you’re just stuck in a miserable hot ass kitchen for so many ****ing hours a week all you do is go home and sleep and it has no chance of going anywhere what the **** are you afraid of? Without hyperbole I would rather kill myself than be my manager. And I’ve told him that lol

cue dwv calling me a loser
