Actually they would have shot me, because it was the cops that were shooting, they killed someone apparently. The news article didn't say why

^Oh wow. I thought I learned in school that Holland was the last country. Maybe that was only of the western countries, which would be stupid, but education in western countries is pretty first-world centered of course. Or I just have a worse memory than I thought

I’m sure Europeans are guilty of this too. In American history textbooks not only is “world” often synonymous with “western” but it is also often interchangeable for “white”
