At least you get to see Australia.

I can barely get out and see Hartford, Connecticut.

What's the problem? Sounds like a good time.

As for me, today is the first day off of weed (intentionally)and it ****ing sucks. Had a ****ty day at work and made too many mistakes. But I gotta do it. I smoke way too much. Luckily the dispensary is just inconvenient enough for me not to bother going. It's more of a break than it is completely quitting.

My anxiety is very high tho. Didnt make the day any easier.

Could be. I'll keep an open mind.

I can't even help get myself set up.

Great player, performance had some more improvisational elements than I expected.

Up there with Shabazz and AMT as one of the best shows I've ever seen. Just incredible. Stayed for the whole thing.

Moor Mother
Started off with a more ambient piece with a violinist before she went into some renditions of her more industrial pieces. I think she'd be great in a setting where the performer is on the same level as the audience because she can definitely pull off the confrontational element. Moor Mother and the violinist walked by while I was waiting for my ride and I fanboyed about their show. The violinist was receptive but Moor Mother was like **** off dude lol

Either I ****ed up or they rescheduled because this overlapped with the MM show. Whatevs.

Also confirmed that rostasi is a real human.

I'd go just to see what it's like.

Nice

On deck for today: Alien Flower Sutra (Roy Mazurek and Emmett Kelly), Mary Halvorson's Code Girl, Evan Parker's Trance Map+ (replacing Schlippenbach Trio which was unfortunately cancelled), The Comet Is Coming, Meredith Monk, Jlin, and Fire!. May catch an ensemble performing Anna Thorvaldsdottir if I'm feeling up to it.

Was going to see Joan La Barbara and Bela Flek's shows but decided to cut them out because I didn't sleep too well and today's going late.

Pro tip: Supporting the artists and the fest is cool and all, but I forgot my wristband yesterday and had no problems so you could probably easily crash some shows if you tried.

Fire! would be my top priority.
But I've already seen Mary Halvorson and Evan Parker several times.

Frownland 03-22-2019 10:24 AM

Pretty sure I'll make all of these (even if some will be partial), but Fire and Jlin are my priorities. Parker's doing two shows and Halvorson will be playing in Nate Wooley's Columbia Icefield so I could stand to miss today's performances but would rather not. Wish I could see Thumbscrew but it overlaps with This Is Not This Heat's last performance, which I'm obviously not going to pass up.
