Owner collects mid century furniture. They're nice couches.

Makes sense. Gotta make sure that they're sitting down when you tell them the price of the first issue that they're interested in.

We have a 1st mono press of Freddi Redd's "Shades of Redd" off Blue Note in the shop right now. It's $500. People scoff at it and when I tell them it usually goes for 1k they still think $500 is too much. Sometimes I feel if we just made everything free, people would want us to pay them to take it. It's frustrating. Especially when they follow it up with...

"Ohh but I looooooove your store."

Bitch, get outta here.

First day of Big Ears today. Paycheck comes in tomorrow so I'm just kicking it at the hotel until my first show at 730 for now since my bank account is giving me some seriously negative vibes. Had brisket so good I wanted to cry (the BBQ sauce out here is too vinegary though). On deck for tonight: Derek Gripper, Oren Ambarchi, Yunohana Variations with YoshimiO/Susie Ibarra/Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Moor Mother, and Mercury Rev. Hella excited.

Initially read it as "couch shitter".
