Sigh. I haven't mentioned it cause it's depressing but my retarded coworker has rectal cancer. It's spread to his liver. He's currently taking medication and I think chemo in preparation for surgery. He survived brain cancer as a baby (why he's retarded) so I guess he's cancer prone. He's 32 ****ing years old. I don't know much about rectal cancer but I'm guessing no matter what cancer it is if it's metastasized then it's absolutely ****ing bad.

I don't know that he understands how serious his situation is and at some point he's going to have to take off work for surgery and I assume there's at least a decent chance I'll never see him again after that and might not ever even hear what happened to him if he doesn't make it. I don't know that his parents will care enough about his Burger King job to let us know their son died. Like, I can't even offer condolences cause that might scare the **** out of him. So long as nobody around him acts like he might very well be about to die he might think he'll be fine? I guess? I don't know.
