I believe the correct medical term is 'Bad AIDS'.

And then to top it all off, my younger brother dies of a brain aneurysm with no warning while we were both visiting my parents when nobody else is around, and I try to resuscitate him to no avail. (he was Terrible Lizard here on MusicBanter). He had worked his way through college and was on the verge of graduation too. Whoops.

So yeah, life can suck. So my advice to anyone who feels like they are at their lowest is that A. it can always be worse and B. figure out what you want to fight for, even if it's not the most exciting thing or niche. It's the easiest thing in the world to box yourself into misery. The terrible and the wonderful have the unfortunate tendency to coexist in the same space, so sometimes its hard to see one thing through the other.
^ I'm really sorry to hear about these problems that you have faced, Anteater. I had know idea about them as you've always been careful about mentioning personal info on MB. To lose your brother in such circumstances is especially tragic. I remember Terrible Lizard, but I don't think either of you let on that you were brothers.

I hope your asthma has improved over the years: it used to be said that children "grow out of it" and someone close to me suffered with asthma when young, with various emergency trips to hospital. The condition hasn't disappeared but is now controlled with just occasional use of an inhaler.

Kinda awesome also a bit weird and worrying.
^ HaHa! Welcome to getting old, grindy! Let us know when you forget where you left your false teeth and lose control of your bladder. You should expect both of those symptoms to kick in later this year

Or, like, you actually have a medical condition that requires treatment.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

I saw Wu-Tang like a decade ago and I wasn't blown away, but then I think it's possible live hip hop doesn't do it for me as much as studio recordings. Or maybe I was just stupid. Or they were washed up. Dunno.
