I wasn't sure about that, because translating comic character names was normal back when Calvin & Hobbes debuted in Denmark. Calvin & Hobbes are named "Steen & Stoffer" and I still mostly think of them as such, since that's what I knew them as for the first many years.

I'm not sure about that

I've got a lot of comics from back when I was a kid. Mostly, they're absolutely terrible and I've buried them deep in a cupboard somewhere.

Yeah no it's Spaceman Spiff in English. Often some secretly dark **** too. Like often the joke is that Calvin is having an outlandish fantasy that distances himself from his classmates who are dumbfounded by Calvin's actions and consider him to be a ****ed up weirdo and Calvin isn't even aware.

Yaeh, this one is about Susie yelling to him because they have to collaborate, it's one of my favourites. Full version:

What I remember most is the impossibility intricate geometric patterns and colors, as time and space bent around "me." I remember a moment of being lucid and I felt scared because I didn't know who "I" was, I couldn't remember language, I had forgotten everything I know. I was just existing. I didn't see any beings but there was a gentle benevolent presence that made me feel protected and cared for.

I'm definitely still processing, I don't know how to describe it in a way that does it justice. I felt that I was shed of all sense of self, I was so far removed from earth and ego and this realm - as I came to it was as if I bore witness to my consciousness being born back into my body.

I do recommend it. I've always been a fan of psychedelics and tripping as a tool to gain clarity (mushrooms are my go-to, I've never done acid). My friends refer to it as "dusting off the cobwebs" of your mind. I wouldn't say it's changed my view on death - I've never been particularly fearful of it - but it is comforting to know that I have that great big final trip waiting for me when my time comes lol.

That’s bad ass. Full on ego death.

I’m intimidated by it though. The whole thing is less than hour though, right?

Oh yeah it was over in like 5 minutes. No harsh comedown or anything. It took me a minute to get my sea legs as it were as I came back to the present, my friend said I kept asking for my dog lol.

Huge windstorm hit our area last night. Might be out of power for a week or more. Everywhere is closed.

It's kind of a miracle that I don't even feel tempted to try any drugs. I'm feeling so bored by life so often, you'd think I'd jump on any chance to make something happen. I kind of have this idea that I want to experience life straight, with no sugar or milk added. I also don't take any pain killers when I'm in pain. I just live through headaches and tooth aches and intense boredom, excruciating moment by excruciating moment.

I'm not sure I recommend it, but it's my way of doing things.
