I used to do 40 minute trips every day and now I wonder why I ever put up with it.

I used to live five minutes from work, but then I bought a house, and that house was worth the longer bike ride.

Why ride the train and bus when I can pocket the $200 a month transportation stipend as well as get some sunshine and exercise? (On rainy days, of course, I take public transportation.)

Yes, of course. Because I can't wait to go to J-prison where you're not allowed to talk unless spoken to by a guard, where you get 20 minutes of exercise a day (which equates to walking in a circle in the yard), and not allowed to even stand up in your cell (you have to remain seated).
