Then I'll just keep them. Thanks WWWP! I almost did something stupid.

I wouldn’t worry about it, keep trying! It took me years of half assed attempts to stop. I actually stopped for about 6 months then started again. It wasn’t until I was truly ready to stop that I did and that was almost 2 years ago, I still have had cigarettes a few times but I don’t buy any so I’m happy with that at the moment.

Ahh man. I was just stopping in here to say Day 2.

Don't beat yourself up about though, Kiii. Try again when it's right for you.

I'm also sorry that you didn't make it to day two, Kiii.

If you can't stop totally, I'd recommend cutting down. I've heard this idea somewhere: every time you have a cigarette, mark it on the pack. Count how many you smoke a day, then try to smoke one less the next day. Those little games with yourself might help - and also remember the goal:

Heavy smoking will ruin your life. I think I mentioned on MB a case I won't forget. Someone I knew was hospitalised with a lung infection, which after some days in intensive care provoked a fatal heart attack. There were complications not connected with smoking, but I remember the doc telling us that because of smoking, her organs were like those of a 70-year-old even though she was only 56. He said that before the infection her heart and lungs had been just strong enough for her to live her life - and I caught him! He was raising both hands to put air quotes around the word "life" but thought better of it and stopped himself just in time.

So yeah, stop smoking Kiiii.

Yeah limiting myself to less and less each day is probably the best idea honestly. Which I have done before. I'll try that again.

I'm always here to be a day counter. Kiiii. I can count. I can count real good.

Using a vape really helped me quit. Over the course of a few months I went from 12 to 6 to 3 to 0mg's of nicotine, then just stopped. It was expensive way to be lenient with myself and my lack of willpower though.
