The thing is there’s no reason to have a kid in the first place. Having a kid makes the world a worse place. That’s just the start. So if you’re going to have a kid you better be able to justify it. The right conditions for raising a child are very rare. The good news is not having a child is the unassailable choice. You absolutely cannot **** up a child that doesn’t exist. And a child who doesn’t exist uses exactly NO natural resources, has NO carbon footprint, and doesn’t leave behind any pollution whatsoever.

I think the morality of having children debate is redundant. All it boils down to is people trying to push their own personal wants on others.

I'm better for having children because I continue the human race or I'm better for not having children and not producing another "useless" resource vacuum.

Displaying your wants as anything other than a personal life choice just comes off as arrogant.

I think it's pretty arrogant to bring a sentient being into this world without their consent and then force them to go through life because they think it'd be nice to have a kid.
