I went into a pretty deep depression today thinking about someone I knew who died in a mass shooting. Just obsessively thinking about their last moments and feeling more and more horrified at how they must have felt in their last moments while more people were getting killed. I only vaguely mentioned it here at the time because I didn't want to make someone else's death about me or some stupid thought process like that and even then I didn't tell many people about it irl. Luckily I was able to talk to a friend when it hit me but it's just been a rough day man.

That's terrible. I feel bad enough thinking about something like that without knowing anyone involved, so I can't even begin to imagine what you must feel like. Hope you're coping. I don't think there's anything to gain by obsessing over it, but I guess it's not really a choice one makes. I'm glad you've got people you can reach out to.
