Yes. I teach ESL in Japan.
Teaching English to people who don't speak English must be the sweetest job. Like teaching hopscotch.
I don't teach anything. I make them do group work and group discussions all the time.
OMG would I even need a degree to realistically do that job? I'm not even mocking you I'm potentially high fiving you for kicking my ass at having a job you don't have to try at.
You need a four-year degree to get visa sponsorship. Without the degree, you'd not be able to stay more than half a year. And that's just to jump around like a monkey and teach kids in a romper room. University? You'd need a Master's.
I guarantee you work ten times harder than I do and make a tenth of what I make. |

If somehow you were able to live here without visa difficulties and land a job like mine, of course you could do it. Anyone could do my job, as long as you show up on time. We profs often joke around about how the school is going to replace us with monkeys someday.

Bruh I don't do school. My work ethic is fine in the moment but when I have to plan for the future it plummets and all of a sudden I'm failing classes and can't even bring myself to care beyond hating myself for being unable to live beyond the moment. I'm just not a guy who can get a degree.
