Just found out a friend of mine that I knew all the way through high school passed away from a drug overdose in July. I had no idea until today.

My family is close with his family because they own the pub that's in my neighborhood and we've gone there for years. I was pretty good friends with him growing up but kind of went different ways after high school. Unfortunately I didn't know until now otherwise I would've gone to the ceremony.

My older brother has been a drug addict for a good part of his life but luckily he's in jail right now.

It's all good. I didn't know him much over the past couple years so I didn't know he even had a drug problem. Sad to see him go and hopefully his family is coping alright. I know I'll eventually have to deal with the fact that my own brother will probably die on the streets from a drug overdose. Only think keeping him from that is jail.

Lots of people suffer in pain because they don't want to burden others. Hopefully your brother can learn a lesson from this.

You work on something for 5 years, have it taken away, then people sh*t all over you for it. How is that NOT uspposed to piss someone off?

By being an adult and maybe by seeing a therapist about your anger.

It's a lost cause. My brother has been in and out of jail for multiple different crimes. It sounds terrible but I don't even consider him family because he's ****ed up so much. I could create a laundry list of things he's done and it probably wouldn't even scratch the surface.

Okay, let someone go smash your guitars and destroy all of the music that you've created, then give you sh*t about it because it made you unhappy. Then say you have a victim complex because you are apparently just supposed to sit there and take it like a mindless cyborg.
