lmao @ the assumption Mexican restaurant employees are all undocumented

Well, my sister basically dated only Mexicans for 15 years, most of whom worked at the local Mexican restaurants, and I was informed by her and the Mexicans who worked there that 99% of them were undocumented, so, there's that. Could be different in your area.

I don't want anything. I went (online) to community college for a semester for IT just cause I'm on computers a lot and I could probably find a job where I wouldn't have to deal with people. Didn't actually care though but the family were really pushing it so I went along cause how the **** do you tell them that they're quite possibly wasting their time and care far more than you do?

TBH the only thing I really want from life is to chillax, read comics, and get drunk, and I can do that in any economic class. Career goals are a thing that happen to other people.

No real reason to make a career if you can do well enough to cover the basics without. I'm happy that I got my current job, but i was still doing ok before.
The things I care about in life are not very tied up to being "successful".

yeah, im not much of a life coach but i just wish the best for ya since you said its stressing ya out and just seems like you do have some options.

Honestly I'd be stressed out and miserable no matter what I did. It's just how I am.

Comics are the release. Beer is the anesthetic.

I pay the price that your corporation deems acceptable to cover their costs, profits, and your paycheck. I gladly pay 20% tips if I have someone waiting on my table and keeping my water glass full, getting me extra butter or bread if I want it, grating black pepper and parm cheese, etc. on my food - at my table.

Tipping for a god damn whopper junior is ****ing insanity.

You want tips? Put on an apron and wait tables.

So since your culture hasn't beat it into your head that we deserve to get tipped you get indignant when the status quo gets rocked. Why just wait staff? Why not the cooks who bust their ass and actually make the food that eat? Because you don't see them so their hard work doesn't count?

And you got a three figure paycheck for making music equipment. On a music forum that's nice and all but what honestly is your worth to society? As worthless as my job is I'm actually feeding people. You're just making new pedals when there would already be pedals if you were never born.

Neo. Liberal. Scum.

Most of the jobs I got in life had little to do with my education,
so I can understand Charles' position on this. At his age, 32,
I worked in a record store (natch) - and got the job just out
of sheer enthusiasm and confidence about abilities. Yeah, it's
a minor job, but you meet people and things grow from there.
I could see Charles, for instance, going into his favorite comic
book store and being hired - or some such place that he likes.

The Batlord 10-06-2018 01:13 PM

If only my local comic book shop hadn't closed. I considered applying but then the unthinkable happened.
