Thunderstorm knocked my power out and fried my BluRay player, even though it was on a surge protector. Also took me 40+ minutes to boot my PC after it finally came back on. Lame.

Be weary of it. You phone connector [if you're talking about your cell phone] is most likely digital and VGA is analog [and only carries video, not audio as well]. I tried several HDMI-to-VGA adapters and none of them worked. Not sure why they even made them. If you're talking about a landline phone-to-VGA, then I have no fucking clue why that would even exist LOL.
