Some people just like to be difficult. I do a lot of print advertising where I'll send proofs to people who will then be anal for no reason about some part of the design. Most of the time I can get away with sending back the same thing after an hour asking "how's this" and they'll usually say that it's exactly what they wanted.

Also what OH said. Lot of mfs are low, they'll take any chance they can to be on top. Could also be that the customer didn't want to argue with two people at once and would have treated your coworker similarly if she got to him first.

I getcha. Sometimes it just hits you pretty hard and then it stings. I've calmed down about it now tho.

that your boss sticks by you
That’s out of your hands though

I once had a student’s mom who wanted weekly email reports

I knew the family was Catholic and when I sent the email up against the break for Easter I tossed in “Happy Easter” and after the break the principal emailed me to come to her office. I got reprimanded for “being too familiar” or some **** because this lady complained that I wished her a happy Easter and my boss logged it in my file as a negative communique. I was like what the **** ever.

^Yeah that **** can happen and I've had it happen too. Unfortunately in a lot of cases, it's their word against yours. In my case I got lucky because yes, I had a witness. But other times I've not been lucky and I've basically had to explain the honest story and hope it works in my favor. Doesn't always happen.

So the obvious answer is: kill all the bosses, kill all the customers, and live as a goat in Nepal. Am I forgetting anything?
