My band got a 2 at NC Band festival. My school has history of having a shitty band program. But we got a new director and he's turning everything around. My school's been around for about 30-40 years and there's never been a 1 [1's the best 5 is the worst]. There's only been a handful of 2's at my school so it's kind of a big deal. I can't wait till marching season.

With my school, yes. I've been trying to pirate a drum corp[marching band on steroids all brass and drums] video for you ever since your trip to England. No luck yet.

KL- Marching band is fun. You spend a shitload of time with your friends playing music and riding in buses and listening to music. Fun shit.

Do you think only the best travel abroad to parades such as the London one? I wondered how they picked them. It must have been a pretty big deal for them, it's a huge parade.

My guess is application and audition for any major parade. Maybe invites as well. It's kinda weird, everyone just knows who the good bands are in an area it's not a big secret or anything.
