You had a Samsung before? I'm currently trying to choose between HP, Dell and Lenovo. It's a bit late of course, but I wouldn't have bothered with MS Office (hope you didn't pay extra for that) - I use Open Office all the time. It's free, and exactly like MS Office.

I'm a sucker I guess. I don't do a TON of things with my laptop, at least historically. I just needed something to run so ta speak. Yes I bought Office. I'll be using this laptop for work as well so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on that one,

I've had both HP and Dell laptops. This one is doing just fine.. need to get use to 10's layout though. I mostly hate it. Honestly you can't really go wrong. I think I remember liking my HP a little more than the others but that was probably like 10 years ago so i dkkk.

HP is awful. Dell or even Lenovo are great. I say that from experience.

My opinion is skewed as I play games regularly.

This sounds like the bitter drunk rantings of a cleric.

HP laptops should last longer than a year imo.

"****, man, shouldn't a tank have to go longer than ten seconds without healing when I should be worrying about the black mage with the glass jaw?"

Yes.

I didn't buy a HP again when I got my second and third laptops because my first one was a HP that fried it's own motherboard due to not being able to cool itself enough. I got it repaired since it was within warranty, but I've got it on low performance settings these days to avoid it running white hot.

They probably learned from their mistakes, but that particular model was known for being able to run too hot. I killed it by playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on it. Too much for the poor thing.

^I know exactly what you're referring to because the same happened with my brothers laptop. I've never bought an HP because I've always been advised not to.

The most hilarious thing about it was that I had an exam the day after and it died when I was turning it on to bring up the power point slides with my presentation (played that game I mentioned the night before, last thing before I closed it down, so I know what killed it - I'm even pretty sure it blue screened suddenly while playing). Fuuuuck. I had my notes, so it wasn't a problem as such, but that's some ****ty timing!

God damn it my ****ed up laptop is an HP too. Only two-years-old.
