Looked up one of the songs from Donkey Kong and the Crystal Coconut for the nostalgic lols, and youtube tried to play a Nightwish song afterwards

Probably not. I don't have a problem relating to people, I just have times where I don't feel connected or wanted. I'm sure a lot of those people would call me toxic. I've had people I really cared about cut me out for my emotional problems so I have a problem cutting my friends out for their problems. I guess you just learn to deal with it and accept them for their flaws. As my friend says, life is filled with concessions.

Are you sure you're not just latching on to people who give you the time of day to stave off loneliness? I've done that plenty of times and it's how I've ended up with some seriously ****ty friendships.

Feeling grateful - I'm on a nine-day paid vacation and heading to Manhattan to attend the Hackers On Planet Earth conference with a few brilliant friends. I've also been invited to go thrifting at The Grand Bazaar while I'm there with a lady friend I haven't seen in over a decade.

I'd fallen ill the week of my birthday and had to cancel my plans to see family and attend the Rochester Jazz Fest, but this adventure will be a wonderful next-best-thing.
