14-page (and growing) Process Guide with illustrations and photographs detailing all the basics and preventative maintenance tips for freshwater fish care, and an accompanying spreadsheet with a header row denoting safe ranges of temperature, pH, nitrite, nitrate, carbonate water hardness and general water hardness with subsequent rows to record and track the levels of each. Each row includes the date of the reading and a notes field for any actions taken which may impact levels, (sick fish, water conditioner applications, etc).

I'm doing it... for science.

I'm going to go ahead and presume that everyone is as exhaustive and methodical as I when approaching a new hobby.

I bought a 5ft tall 45-gallon aquarium and load of supplies, prepped and cycled it Sunday with the help of a generous friend, tested my levels, compiled research, authored a process guide, and scheduled calendar events to maintain a spreadsheet of their levels and health with acceptable ranges of 5-factors of measurement for each species.

I'm going to try to be a good fishy daddy.

Funky LED Night Light

Ladies and gentlemen, meet my new friends - Stockhausen, Cage, Riley, Moondog, Glass, and Reich. And next week if the ammonia balances, I'll introduce Bryars, Adams, Conrad, Young, Oliveros, Nyman, Richter, and Voigt.

Easter Island mo'ai statues will arrive Friday to give the little guys some more fun places to hide.

And I shall call their little world, The ENO. Because I can.

Please forgive the amateur photography - I've got to learn how to shoot underwater. For those curious, I am beginning with easy, mild-tempered fish:

- Dwarf Male Gourami
- Green Swordtail
- Red Mickey Mouse Platy
- Dalmatian Balloon Molly
- Sunset Thicklip Gourami
- and a stealthy Plecostomus I've not yet been able to capture quite yet

They're forming little communities and settling in nicely. Caring for these little guys will be of great value in my life. Thanks for letting me share!

Photos for the curious
I'm just gonna go ahead and predict that Cage eats Voigt. Silently, of course. And then composes a piece to commemorate the event.

Sometimes I do this kind of work in video games. The last MMO I played that was economically driven which got me making spreadsheets of the game market to help me price my crafted goods and buy/sell for profit.

Gaming is about the only thing I'd do that kind of thing for though.

Golly gee shucks. I'm going to have to try harder to alienate you ****s.

EXHAUSTED! Moved out of the old place and into the permanent place. Every damn thing I did to break down the old place fought me this morning. Started at 8am and finished by 1pm. My neighbors across the street and right next door helped me back the RV in. Both single guys about my age and also living here full time. Seem very chill. PEOPLE! Nice change of pace.

Just ordered Cox high speed internet with a monthly 1TB data allowance. No more ****ing 15GB hotspots.

Netflix, Amazon Video, and Vudu - welcome home!

Place has tons of shade and is a much bigger lot that the old place. Need to get a picnic table and a bike. Bathroom, laundry, and showers are not as convenient but I'll just start using my own - plus I only do laundry once a week.

Finally - settled. The last 3 months have been more than crazy.
