When I took the GRE it was graded like the SAT. 1000 is the mean so that’s a good score.

When i took the SATs 1600 was a perfect score.

The GREs its 130-170 per section and 1-6 for the analytical writing section.

They’ve had to adjust the test to keep the mean at 1000. The media likes the story that it was dumbed down but actually it got harder. I think 2017 was the first year they gave that up.
