$10,000 in legal fees and fines.

License suspended except to drive to work.

Probation officer potentially up your ass night and day for a year.

No alcohol as terms of your probation.

Piss tests.

Advice: get the jump start on diversion, start going to AA and get a note signed to show your attorney and obviously the judge

is anything besides booze going to show up in their tests?

You can really only get out of it if you can prove that your officer pulled you over without probably cause. Get ready for the fees and penalties in any case.

So far all the info I have is that I need to get a breathalyzer in my car. I don't have a court date yet. No word on whether my license is gonna get suspended. I live in Texas. As long as I get a breathalyzer I at least have the freedom to drive around, no?

Who gave you that info?

Get an attorney tomorrow and follow his advice to the letter.

Asking us if you’re allowed to drive shows you’re not thinking straight. No offense but how the **** would we know?

True. Okay, I'll probably call an attorney. Fuck me man.

In Florida I’ve heard of cases being beaten in court by people who refused to take a breathalyzer. I’ve also heard that it’s been pled down to reckless driving and (believe it or not) people have been sentenced to a year in jail first offense.

Ja if they have sciency numbers like a breathalyzer you're 100% ****ed. They usually do a blood test as the alternative but that might just be a Cali thing. Do you have more deets as far as tests go for those cases?

Probably? You need advice and a course of action. You need someone with all the details. I’m not asking you but who was in the car, your BAC, were you driving fast or erratically, is it your first charge, are you a minor and on and on

a good lawyer has a good chance of knowing your judge and might be able to start you taking steps now to avoid worse **** later

safe driving course, drug and alcohol awareness - I don’t know but yeah you need a lawyer

The no breathalyzer thing was it took them too long to get his blood or piss and he won in trial with an expensive trial lawyer

The normal procedure in Florida, I think, is if you fail the breathalyzer they also take blood or piss and test you for everything else

The high sentences are like kids in the car high as **** BAC
