A good psych will want you to find the right medication, and if you don't feel that find a different psychiatrist. It sucks that it's so oppresively expensive but it's worth it, and you'll probably only have to see them a few times a year just to check in about what is or isn't working for you. Of course it's always a bit of a gamble to introduce your body to a new med, I've had bad experiences but nothing with lasting damage. It's just important to trust your body and if something doesn't feel right don't do what I did and hate yourself for not being good enough for a particular med and understand that there is a shopping-around process. I am pro med because it worked for me, but YMMV.

Not a therapist, a licensed psychiatrist. BIG difference between the two. And lay it all out on the table. Bare your soul, your moods, emotions, sleep habits, what makes you happy, what makes you cry, what pisses you off, everything.

50 mg of Zoloft a day saved my life. (not taking it during my recent bender almost ended it).

If you're gonna do some ass opening, you might as well go fancy with it.

Did you intend this, or was it an accident? My money is on intention.

The end to Get Out made me feel like a tongue-in-cheek slavery activist. Awesome movie.

My daughter posted this on her FB page so it's 100% public.

My future granddaughter at 28 weeks.

It's really starting to sink in. Talked with her earlier and she's doing good (although with a cold). "Grandpa" still needs to get comfy in my head.
