do people ask for another person’s john henry when asking for a signature?

i’ve heard john hancock before obviously but a woman i work with constantly says john henry and i’ve never heard it before her. pls advise me.

Lol. John Hancock is the correct expression. John Henry is a folk story about some dude that tries to outdo a machine. Nothing to do with signatures.
