#VistaHawk2018

Also received some great news today. Went down to the office to pick up my mail and the manager told me two spots are opening up in a week in the permanent living section of the park. I was going to have to move out in mid June and not return for at least a year. She even showed me both of them - I'll take either one.

Will be within walking distance to the pool, rec room, general store, mail and package pickup, laundry, bathrooms/showers, and hard core Wifi service so I don't have to keep eating through my mobile hotspot.

HUGE relief. I'd been checking out places in case a spot didn't come through and they were all closer to downtown, i.e., ****loads more expensive. Plus they were all short term stays.

Woo-hoo! Lucky you!

Chula, clear something up for me. Stupid as I may be, I'm confused: are you travelling alone in the Winnie or are your kids with you?

My kids are both out on their own, (34 and 29) so I've been flying solo for the past 3 months, and really loving it (sans the two week blind binge that led to the 5150). They'll be a lot more human interaction if I get into the new place which will be good. I'm already on a first name basis will all of the staff and I'll have lots of neighbors close by.

P.S. You're a bigger perv than me.

I hope they throw you back in the loony bin for that Van Halen reference.

Ring Ring

Who’s this?

Life.

What’s up?

I got some really good news!

Whew! I was worried for a bit.

Oh, I meant really bad news.

Van Halen is the original rip off here.

It was named after Eddie Van Halen's home studio, 5150, itself named after a California law enforcement term for a mentally disturbed person (a reference to Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code).

Okay, yeah, that makes sense, cos you were definitely giving me the vibe of a guy on his own, not someone with his two kids (I know they're old enough not to be called kids now, but I'm sure you agree you never really stop thinking of them as your kids).
