I got a new job! They’re paying me $1000 a day to do whatever I want. And there’s huge bonuses if I spend lots of money. Today I slept. No bonus. **** the man.

You're gonna need deets cause it's totally not cool to make your job seem nice out of nowhere.

Does he love it, though?

Just wrote two checks totaling $30K to pay back the folks who loaned me the money to buy my RV. That doesn't happen every day.

Why didn’t you just have your watch send the money?

Went magnet fishing (again) and visited the stray kitties in spanish town (again) today after going to a terrible chinese buffet. (Will post pictures at some point. They're such good kitties.) Didn't manage to catch anything while magnet fishing, though, shockingly. Well, I did manage to get a rusty old railroad spike (no murder knives yet, unfortunately) but I dropped it and totally forgot about it when I saw a fox in the distance-- I've never been so close to a fox before. He was just standing there on the sidewalk. He looked right at us, stretched and yawned and then trotted past toward the pond. (It took an enormous amount of self-control to remain calm and not bounce up and down yelling "Fox! Fooox! Fooooxxxx!!!!" and frighten it away. I did manage to get some blurry pictures though)

Still grumpy about my new schedule. I don't have to be at work till 8 am, but I have to be ready when my roommate is ready to take me on his way to work (6:30 am) and because it takes me so long to get ready I have to wake up at 4:30. The new job is going fine; it's a desk job, so I just keep to myself and try to seem as normal (and invisible) as possible, and yet somehow I have already been appointed as the resident paranormal + astrology expert. I swear I have not brought up the subject of ghosts or aliens or cryptids even once during break time small talk; everyone just collectively, mysteriously knew that I'd be an expert on such topics. This is probably not a good thing.

Sounds pretty golden as far as jobs go.

Send it? Hell, from what he's saying, it could have paid it for him out of its own account!

God damn it lady! What do you have against magnets? They need to be free to live their lives, not caught and displayed by hunters like you!

Oh Lord! BAD juxtaposition of kitties and Chinese buffet!

What the hell takes you two hours to sort???? Do you wake up as a fleshless corpse and have to work incantations to become a living being or something?

Well of course: you just give off that kind of vibe. Word of advice though: using animal skulls as coffee mugs and facing west to worship Cth'ulu at midday probably gives them the wrong idea. Just sayin'.

Congrats on the job by the way. I'm sure you'll be running the place in no time. And discover it's built on an old Indian burial ground.

Last night finally hooked up an HDMI cable to the wall mounted TV. What a ****ing hassle but well worth it. Streamed the first episode of Lost in Space. So far so awesome!
