2. Move the f*ck out of S'Cal. You can get a two bedroom apartment in the south east/west for pennies.

Nah, she's helped in every way possible except for physical labor. She's even offered for me to come out and live with her and her brother. Us getting divorced and selling the house is the best thing possible for the both of us. We'd been stuck in the worst rut for years. She'd only been gone a few days before I realized I was glad she did it.

I'm staying in SoCal for two very important reasons. My kids. Never know when Mike may have a relapse and I'm going to be a granddad and want to be there for that and to help as much as possible.

THE GOOD NEWS

Native American Indian Reservations are exempt from lots of state and federal laws! About 15 miles west from here in Alpine is the Viejas reservation. There's two RV parks owned by the same company on the land. One is permanent - was told that a few people have been living there for decades. They don't have an opening right now but they pop up all the time - it's less than a mile from the Viejas casino so whenever there's construction the workers often stay at the park. When the work is done they all split at once. I'm on the waiting list.

The other park is right across the street. It's not permanent yet. They've petitioned the government and expect to win the case. I've got a 3 month reservation after I leave this place on the 18th.

It's $600 a month with everything included. That's about $1,200 less than the house was and cheaper than any apartment I could find around here. Mike's paying $800 a month just for a room!

In hindsight this place is a bit too far out in the sticks. The local store is about 3 miles away and they up charge like crazy. Gas is $4.20 a gallon for regular!

Alpine is small but at least has chain type stores (Albertsons, CVS, Ace Hardware, etc.) lot's of places to eat and gas is only $3.15.

So instead of a 15 mile drive to get supplies now I only have to drive 1.

TL;DR

Chula's not going to be living in a Walmart parking lot.

Can't argue with this I guess.

That does not sound like a real offer. Sounds like she knew full well you wouldn't accept and she gets to feel like the good guy.

And I'm sure Native Americans love nothing more than white people moving onto their land.

I’m sure the tribal council is very fair and nuanced if there’s a problem.
