I noticed, I sent him a message. Not sure what else we could do if he did.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Lists can also be useful; if you are presenting seven types of blah blah blah, ask the audience to work in pairs and guess what they are beforehand. Or in pairs again, you can ask them to rank things in order; reliability, importance, chronology or whatever. The main point really is to give people a chance to fidgit and let off stream by confiding to each other - either that they know it all already or that they're completely lost.

Good luck!

I tried calling the phone number under his avatar but there were too many letters so I gave up.

^ Yep, OH; I think we share(d) the same profession. Didn't you post somewhere that you used to be a secondary school teacher but have now retired?

I am teaching English as a second language, but in general, I've been lucky enough to avoid the "real teaching" that involves big classes of children. At the moment I'm teaching various groups of High School/University/Adult students. Biggest class: 27, smallest class: 2

Usually. (And then she grabs my hand with her big floof paws and gently gnaws on me while purring. She prefers to chew on wires and purse straps though of course)

‘Retired’ is a very generous way to put it. I basically lost my temper one time too many and walked off the job. If you had an acupuncture patient who had been stuck thousands of times and one day was given just another regular poke and said ‘wtf fy stick me again and I’ll smash your ****ing face in’ that’s what I did. I was going along more or less plugging through and then with a blink of the eye I said you know what **** this and left and didn’t come back. No plan b, no nothing.

Barnes and Noble just laid off so many of my friends it's insane. ALL the old people who have been there for YEARS got let go in a company wide spur of the moment lay off. My managers have been crying all day and night. They were just told with no warning to fire a list of people on the spot. They called my friend up, who has been home with the flu, and fired him over the phone. 19 years and he gets it over the phone.

If you have a Barnes and Noble near you, stop by and enjoy it while it lasts. Be really nice to all the employees because we all lost a lot of friends in the last day and a half.

Whoever made this decision to do it like this can eat a huge sh*t sandwich. This is not how you save a company. This is how you save money for your corporate severance pays. They're tanking the company and trying to salvage what they can for themselves.

C*nts.
