I gained respect for one of the guys who I never usually speak to in my grade. For I spent about 2 hours after school with him actually discussing philosophy and psychology, without getting bored or frustrated at his close-minded or ignorant views because they aren't. Also, he is so amazingly intelligent that the conversation could go past the usual level that most people discuss it at.
Basically, it gave me a little hope that my school might have interesting people in it. At least, until tomorrow when it will be destroyed, because I will be forced to listen to a conversation about "What really is a split-end?" in my yearbook class

It never ceases to amaze me how effortlessly I seem to land myself in f*cked up situations. I've got quite a talent for it really. Oh well, if it turns out too awkwardly at least it's only a little under 3 months i'll have to put up with it till i leave.

I had the most interesting three hour lecture class today. No sarcasm there, it's typically the three most boring hours of my week but we discussed sexual overtones during the death of Elizabeth in Mary Shelly's Frankenstein that I had no clue existed. I also made her aware that the monster can not only be compared to a child, Victor's subconsious desires, and Prometheous(sp?) but can also be compared to Pymalion(also sp?) in the way that when viewed as a monster, one might actually become a monster. Same with My Fair Lady. Pygmalion effect. It was a very interesting three hours.

My girlfriend couldn't hang out today, she had to get bloodwork done because she had mono. but also has to get her tonseils removed..so that was crap but ehh, good long sleep. She also just called me while I was typing this, so that's cool.
