Oh ****! I almost forgot the best thing today. My coworker revealed to me that she doesn't take medicine because she doesn't trust it. She gave no good reasons for this, but I guess she felt sheltered by anti-vaxxers or some ****, but apparently medicine is bad or something. Yeah, just straight up medicine in general. I tried to tell her that the only reason she could even hold such a stance was because of all of the people around her in the world who did take medicine, but clearly the only proper response was to not look at me, cross her arms, kinda shake her head, and just hope I went away.

And I would have, cause who wants to debate that? Until... until she just offhandedly mentioned that she only recently LEARNED TO SWALLOW PILLS. Apparently before recent history she was liable to choke on a pill. Just straight up could not take medicine to save her life. Literally.

For all the vague nonsense she was half-heartedly trying to chuck at me, the only reason she didn't believe in medicine was because she was too incompetent to take it, and she was perfectly willing to throw all of medicine under the bus to cover up her lack of swallowing ability. I did not let this go unmocked. And by her own admission she was on her period. So I'm sure she wishes I was dead. All she'll have to do is cough at me I suppose.

No, I think people just underestimate how ignorant the poor can be. Like, all it takes is sucking at swallowing and a complete lack of knowledge of anything scientific for someone to become sub-anti-vaxxer. This is the same kind of person who had to ask if Germany was a country. These aren't mentally deficient people, just mind numbingly average people with a depressing level of familiarity with anything outside their immediate cultural sphere.

The Insane Clown Posse are not an anomaly. They represent the intelligence of waaaaaaaay more people than any of you want to admit.

I mean, yeah, this woman is certainly on the lower end of the intelligence spectrum than I deal with on average, but not to an extent that she's out of the norm. This is why I don't know why people think that democracy works. This woman has no business casting any vote on how any country of any size should be run, and yet she has a vote in quite possibly the most powerful country on earth, a country that exerts a ridiculous amount of influence on all of the other countries. Why? Who is served? The only thing that people like her voting accomplishes is to prevent smarter people from exploiting her more than they already do.
