Not yet, but I'm open to it.

Yeah right. If you're about 15 you can get away with it, and even then it's always more trouble than it's worth.

Would it not make more sense, if you have a good idea who it is, to email or text or even meet him and warn him off, that you know who he is and you'll be watching? Threaten him that you'll go to the cops if he doesn't back off? Do I have a clue what I'm talking about? Sounds ****ed up though, really.

At least tell the husband (or wife) of your suspicions, so that when he meets them again the husband can be on his guard. You never know when someone might just decide to, I don't know, stick a knife in him and walk away....? Forewarned, as they say, gives you two extra arms.

I wouldn't give any warnings or let them know I'm on to them, for all I know it could encourage them to get the job done quicker if they think people are closing in.

He needs to be arrested ASAP. Something like this must be awful if you're on the receiving end and I would be raging if the police were slow to act over it.

Sounds like the first act of a very exciting film.

Yes this. You don't corner someone who is armed and clearly unstable.
