Chili Peppers were actually good in the 80s, but yeah someone saying they're their favorite band is probably into all the garbage they've been putting out since then.

This reminds me of one of my coworkers who always wants to talk to me about music. She knows I'm really into music so I think that's why she does it, but the artists she's brought up to me, usually because she's going to seem them, have been Adam Levine, Shinedown, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rod Stewart. I generally smile and nod because she's a really nice person and I don't want to be a jerk, but I did let a negative STP comment slip recently when she was talking about going to see them and I immediately felt bad about it.

Neh, don't feel bad. No one is safe. I look at it as someone who knows more about music is trying to open someone else's mind to listen to stuff that doesn't suck as bad as the stuff they already like to listen to. Some people will get it, and others won't. Their loss.

Wow, that sounded so pretentious.

I actually rode by several heavy set people who were also riding an electric buggy (not sure if that's the reason they needed one), and I gave them the awkward head nod and half grin thinking, "hey, we're both useless right now." Every single person I did that to gave me the nastiest look of disgust, and some even went as far as to give me the head shake as if they were thinking to themselves, "Look at this twat. You're skinny, you don't need to be riding that thing."

Yeah same. Was out a while back and one of my sister's friends who is a really nice guy brought up Oasis and asked if I liked them and just went na, wanted to say 'because they are shit' but couldn't. Would have felt bad.

MWC was such a brilliant, and cutting edge show.

And now to segue from MWC to MMA:

Don't mess with Al Bundy.

And STP's Purple is one of the best albums of the 90s.
