I actually like my manager though. We got good banter and since he's gay we can have gay banter without him getting weird about it. We just both have bad tempers that can switch on a dime. I don't even care that he ditches work, I just wish that he wouldn't do it on a day and time that he should clearly know can get busy and when we're shorthanded. Monday at 8am would be perfectly acceptable. I can totally get behind not giving a **** and trying to minimize the amount of work you do while still making the same amount of money.

If businesses are supposed to spend the least amount of resources to get the most amount of resources then so should employees. This whole Protestant work ethic schtick is just ruling class brainwashing. We're not desperately trying to keep from starving, freezing, and getting eaten by sabretooth tigers, so why act like we are?
