I know that my participation in this forum has been a bit lacking as I've actually kinda gained somewhat of a life now, but I'll never forget y'all. Not leaving, but with Ki's coming absence/retirement I feel pretty sentimental about the place and the friends I've made here.

Here's to members past and present

Ki, Qwertyy, Frown, Grindy, Pansygayboy, Batlord, 1Blankmind, Horror, The Identity Matrix, Chula Vista, bob., Bulbasaur, Chiomara, ChelseaDagger, Paedantic Basterd, Mordwyr, Dylstew, DJChameleon, Goofle, Mindfulness, DeadChannel, Exo, Elphenor, Fred Hale Sr, Innerspaceboy, Isbjorn, Mondo Bungle, Janzsoon, Justthefacts, Lucem, Machine, Man Like Monkey, Neapolitan, Ninetales, Pet Sounds, Plankton, TechnicLePanther, Violet, Trollheart, Yorkedaddy

Love you guys

Hopefully I'll meet you someday during one of my ill-advised spontaneous trips. (East coast is likely next on the list.)

Noted.
I'd really like to move to the east coast (or Tennessee) at some point in the next year or two-- I'm just looking for somewhere that has: low-ish cost of living (in terms of rent anyway) + decent public transportation + lots of interesting old buildings and antique stores + close to places I can go hiking and stuff. I REQUIRE suffocating amounts of trees and natural beauty. Just need to visit a handful of places first. I am open to suggestions. I'm leaning toward South Carolina and North Carolina based on what people have told me. I'm sure northern CA is nice too in terms of my natural beauty requirements but it's far too expensive I'm guessing. I wish my aunt weren't moving away from Raleigh to Chicago; could have stayed with her for a while if I decided on NC.

So why don't you just move to New Orleans? Seems perfect for you and you're already used to Texas heat.

I'm a bit tired of Louisiana in general after having lived in Baton Rouge for years. But I'd still consider it. I do love New Orleans (and I have family in LA) seeing as it's filled with fun eccentric weirdos, but I hear it's one of those cities that are great to visit but not so great to live in.
