The creepy thing is that it's sitting on someone's hand...

**** that. You're too young for that ****.

Well, I'm 42, and sailing the Mississippi with my father in the summers as a child got me horribly sunburned on more than one occasion. They say that people burned as children (especially us white folks) almost always develop carcinoma (those small cancerous spots) in older age.

When they say 'child' what age?

And how many times approx did you get burned? Was it just a bit red or really bad burning like blisters and that?

Zhanteimi 07-06-2017 05:00 PM

Between the ages of 9 and 11, probably? Burned so badly that after the mass of blisters popped one night (soaking my T-shirt), the skin peeled off in sheets.

Fair enough, cheers. I was shitting myself a bit last night to be honest.

I fell asleep in the hot Florida sun one time. Blistered up on my shoulders something fierce. Only time that happened, but the skin cancer thing did cross my mind. It's been 17 years.

Did anyone else have a friend/sibling growing up who would always ask to peel everyone's dead sunburned skin, and then do it with absolute glee if you let them? Or were my friends just weird and gross?
