With Facebook they can accept/decline friend requests, it's not open to the rest of the internet like this forum is. I'm not talking about pictures anyway, it's more about personal details. When you are posting on a forum like this if you piss the wrong person off there is nothing stopping them from fucking with your family. Plenty of ways people could do that using information you've posted.
