One of my best friends died in a car accident about the same age, he was about 16. It was such a painful experience loosing a friend so sudden. I don't know what to say when it comes to these things. You have all my sympathy. I hope everything is well with you.

So sorry PS. Sometimes life just doesn't make an ounce of sense. Cry and then power through.

Thanks, guys.

I never even knew she was unhappy. She was one of the most vibrant, talented people I've ever known. Part of me just wants to scream, "Why couldn't you tell me?"

It comes out of nowhere and just consumes you. And you hold it in. I didn't tell anyone but double checked on the internet if my wife would be able to collect my life insurance. (in Cali you have to have your policy active for at least two years before doing the deed) It's like a very dark cloud and storm that comes over and blinds your normal reasoning. It's impossible to fully explain unless you're gotten that low.

Don't beat yourself up Pet. Just grieve and comfort those she left behind.

****, I spent my Saturday at a progressive conference instead of chilling at Governor's Ball listening to Childish Gambino's last performance this year. I guess the knowledge I gained today will be worth it in the long run when I go for my city council seat.

When you're that depressed you get really good at faking it. Sorry for your loss.

So true.

It is usually the ones that don't telegraph their depressed emotions so openly that end up going through with it.

Prevents others from gettimg involved to attempt to stop them.

Sorry for your loss PS. There isn't much you could have said to change her mind. Cherish the good memories you had with her.

So terribly sorry man. Awful when someone dies so young, but as they all are saying to you, don't feel guilty. Chances are you couldn't have done anything to change her mind. Just cherish her memory and live the way she would have wanted you to.

Not only is it awful that she was so young, but so are you, and really, I don't think anyone should ever have to go through that, but if they do, it shouldn't be so young, so I know it'll be really tough for you, but you're stronger than you think, and you'll make it through.

Thanks, TH, and everyone else who has offered support, in this thread and others. Funny how the internet can pick you up sometimes.
